If at all possible, we'll try to schedule all outdoor sessions around sunset (so we can get dreamy lighting like in the photos below) BUT if it's cloudy or even rainy/foggy/whatever else on the day of your engagement session, don't stress! We can easily reschedule if it's pouring rain, but honestly some of my all time favorite shoots have happened in unexpected weather. If it's looking like rain and you still want to shoot, grab a clear umbrella and let's go!
Also important to note - you're going to be nervous at first, and that's so ok. Your man probably will feel a little uncomfortable long after you're in your modeling flow, and that's totally ok too. The best photos are going to come when you guys can forget that I'm circling around you, snapping nonstop, and just zone in on each other, so don't come in worried about looking awkward and posing funny, instead just try to think right off the bat, "wow, I'm here with the person that I'm about to marry." I know it sounds a little cheesy, but as soon as you get in that mindset, we're going to walk away with some really mind blowing photos.
Lastly, please please make sure to take all big watches or crazy accessories that aren't a part of your planned outfit off before you get to the shoot, because once we get started you probably won't think about it!
