frederiksted, st. croix

one of my (many) favorite things about my job as a photographer? the fact that, in all my years of doing this, my work day never looks exactly the same two days in a row. some days I'm at my desk editing or doing research, other days I'm out with you beautiful people taking photos and cracking jokes... and sometimes, I'm wandering around tropical islands, documenting local businesses and natural beauty.

as glam as it may look, it was a pretty crazy trip - just a little over two days to document ten local businesses, quite a few more beautiful sights, do some product photography... and sip a few margaritas at sunset!

it was incredible and inspiring to see the little community of frederiksted rebuilding after severe hurricane damage, and to see a handful of super creative entrepreneurs blending chic and trendy vision with the colorful island vibes.

from breakfast at Polly's to sunsets at Rhythms, and especially winding down in the ridiculously comfy beds at The Fred, it was an unforgettable experience and I'm already ridiculously excited to head back down here again at the end of this month! until then, here are just a couple of my favorite snaps.
